India Education fair colombo - 2018

The Indian High Comission has informed that the 2nd India Education fair Colomobo 2018 will be held on 14th & 15th February 2018 @ BMICH, Colombo.

• 20 Indian Universities are participating in this fair 
• Experts from the famous IITs and IIMs of India are expected to give valuable inputs to the visiting students on higher education and research.

Event is organised by SAPE Events and Media Pvt Ltd

All Schools will be closed on 09. 02. 2018 in order to up comming local election.

The distributing schools will be closed from tomorrow. (for three days)

HOW TO APPLY

• Filled application forms should be sent to the relevant Advanced Technological Institute under registered cover with the bank receipt obtained by crediting Rs.500/= to the SLIATE account No. 025-2-001-1-3397613 at Peoples’ Bank, Hyde Park Branch Colombo 02 or any other branch of the Peoples’ Bank in Sri Lanka.
• The course applied for should be clearly stated at the top left-hand corner of the envelope.
• Candidates who wish to apply for more than one institute should submit separate applications to each institute, while attaching separate receipt worth Rs 500/- in the space provided in the applications
• Part-Time courses are conducted for those who are employed or self-employed in the relevant fields.

• A pass mark (marks 30 and above) for the Common General Test.

G.C.E. A/L Application - Private Candidate

• Applications of private candidates for the above examination will be received from 01.02.2018 to 23.02.2018. will be accepted.
• Only those who have obtained the school-leaving certificate can apply as private candidates. 
• It is completely prohibited for anyone to sit this examination as a private candidate, while still being in school. If such a sitting is discovered, the examination results will be invalidated and they will be debarred from sitting any future examinations.

• Apart from the three main subjects and the Common General Test, candidates may apply for the subject, "General English" too. However, the grade obtained for this subject will not be considered for University Entrance. The grade obtained will be entered in the G.C.E. (A.L.) Certificate

• A pass in Common General Test  is a must for entering a University in Sri Lanka.

• All applicants who sit the written test of subject numbers. 28, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 65 and 66 will be called for a practical test.

Ministry of Education has been published the dates of the Practical Examination of G.C.E Ordinary Level.
It starts on February 20 to march 7 for New Syllabus  and for the Old Syllabus it starts 2nd of March till 07th of March.

There are 1279 centers for New syllabus and 353 for Old syllabus candidates.
