Theme of World Teachers' Day (Oct 05, 2019)

Held annually on 5 October since 1994, World Teachers’ Day commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. This Recommendation sets benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers and standards for their initial preparation and further education, recruitment, employment, and teaching and learning conditions. The Recommendation concerning the Status of Higher-Education Teaching Personnel was adopted in 1997 to complement the 1966 Recommendation by covering teaching and research personnel in higher education.

In 2019, World Teachers’ Day will celebrate teachers with the theme,

“Young Teachers: The future of the Profession.”

The day provides the occasion to celebrate the teaching profession worldwide, to take stock of achievements, and to address some of the issues central for attracting and keeping the brightest minds and young talents in the profession.

The official event will take place on Monday, 7 October at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris in collaboration with the convening partners, including UNICEF, UNDP, the International Labour Organization and Education International and will be celebrated globally with various events.

Oral Exam for OL Passed Applicants will be held o from 07.10.2019 to 29.10.2019. Application recieved from 11.05.2019 to 09.09.2019 are called for this exam.

2019.05.11 දින සිට 2019.09.09 දින දක්වා රාජ්‍ය භාෂා ප්‍රවීණතා වාචික පරීක්ෂණයට ලියාපදිංචි අයදුම්කරුවන් (ලිඛිත විභාගය සඳහා අ.පො.ස (සා.පෙළ) සමත් ලෙස සඳහන් කළ අයදුම් කරුවන් සඳහා පමණක්) සඳහා ශ්‍රවණ හා කථන කුසලතා ඇගයීමේ පරීක්ෂණය 2019/10/07 දින සිට 2019/10/29 දින දක්වා රාජ්‍ය භාෂා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේදී පැවැත් වේ.විභාගය සඳහා අයදුම්පත් තැපෑල වෙත යොමු කර ඇති අතර විභාගයට පෙර අයදුම්පත් නොලැබුණහොත් පහත සඳහන් අයදුම්පත සම්පුර්ණ කර විභාගය සඳහා සහභාගිී විය හැක.

2019.05.11 ஆம் திகதியிலிருந்து 2019.09.09 ஆம் திகதி வரையில் அரசகரும மொழித்தேர்ச்சி வாய்மூலப் பரீட்சைக்கு பதிவு செய்த பரீட்சார்த்திகளுக்கான (க.பொ.த.(சா.த) எழுத்துப் பரீட்சையில் சித்தியடைந்துள்ளதாக குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ள பரீட்சார்த்திகளுக்கு மட்டும்) செவிமடுத்தல் மற்றும் வாய்மூல மதிப்பீட்டுப் பரீட்சை 2019.10.07 ஆம் திகதியிலிருந்து 2019.10.29 ஆம் திகதி வரை அரசகரும மொழிகள் திணைக்களத்தில் நடைபெறும். இப் பரீட்சைக்கான அனுமதி அட்டைகள் தபாலில் அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதோடு, பரீட்சைக்கு முன்னர் அனுமதி அட்டைகள் கிடைக்கப் பெறாவிடில் பின்வரும் அனுமதி அட்டையைப் பூர்த்தி செய்து பரீட்சைக்குத் தோற்ற முடியும்.

Official Language Policy : Concession Period Extended

It has been decided at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on 27.08.2019 to extend the period of concession up to 30.06.2020, which has been granted up to 30.06.2019 to all the public officers, who should acquire the proficiency in other official language. It is hereby informed to make the relevant officers aware of the aforesaid period of concession.

Circular : What should not be done during Election Period in Government Institutions

Election Commission has released a circular for Government Institutions regarding the limitations of their activities.

Circular Says from 18.09.2019 to releasing the results of election, it is the ELECTION PERIOD. In this period there are some limitation of activities of the government Institutions.

Government Offices, Buildings, Schools can not be used for election activities. Specially General transfers of Teachers and Principals should be suspended from 18.09.2019 to 30.11.2019.

Teacher Trainee Registration : Addalaichenai national College

Addalachenai National College of Education will enroll 350 teacher trainees for the academic Year 2019/2021. Registration Process will be held on 03rd of October 2019 for the trainees who selected from second Interview held on 20th of September.

The College will enroll 160 teachers for primary, 60 for Science, 50 for mathematics, 40 for Special Education and 40 for Islam.
