Advanced Certificate ion Science 2020 : Open University of Sri Lanka

Applications are invited for advanced certificate in science course from open university of Sri Lanka. This is the foundation programme to an entry qualification for science & Engineering Technology Degrees.

Subjects

Biology
Mathematics
Chemistry
Physics

Entry Qualifications

At least six (06) passes at the G.C.E (O/L) examination including Mathematics and Science, OR,
Any other equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate.

Exemptions shall be granted for Part 1 courses (year 1), if students have followed the relevant subject in the GCE (A/L) and obtain at least of 40% overall marks at the Exemption Test conducted by the OUSL.

A student having a minimum of Simple Pass (S) for a relevant subject in the GCE (A/L), may claim exemptions for Parts 1 and 2 courses of the relevant discipline of the Advanced Certificate in Science programme, subject to acquiring a minimum of 50% of the total credit requirement by successful completion of courses.

(Full Scholarships awarded to 05 Permanent Employees of University of Colombo (based on performance at the Selection Test)
