The Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure has announced vacancies at the Tea Small Holdings Development Authority (TSHDA).

1. Deputy General Manager (Development) – 01 Post

Service Category: Senior Managerial Service Category (HM 1 – 1)

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Science, Agriculture, Plantation Management, Business Administration, or Management (UGC recognized)
    OR

  • Postgraduate Degree (Masters) relevant to the subject field
    OR

  • Full membership in a recognized chartered institution relevant to the field

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Government / Government Corporation / Board / Statutory Institution / recognized private sector at managerial level relevant to agricultural development or extension activities

Internal Applicants:

  • Must have fulfilled external qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in Grade I post (Management MM 1 – I Service Category)

Salary Scale:
Rs. 140,640 – 15 x 4,100 – 202,140 per month
(Management Services Circular No. 01/2025)

Age Limit:
35 – 55 years (Age limit not applicable to internal applicants)

2. Tea Inspector / Extension Officer – 25 Vacancies

Service Category:
Management Assistant (Technological) Service Category MA 2-3 – III

External Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 5 Certificate (Agriculture / Plantation Management / Plantation Extension Management)

Salary Scale:
Rs. 52,700 – 10 x 800 – 11 x 1,190 – 10 x 1,320 – 1 x 1,350 – 100,490 per month

Age Limit:
18 – 45 years (Age limit not applicable to internal applicants)

Method of Recruitment:

  • Written Competitive Examination

  • Structured Interview

Written Examination:
Two Question Papers:

  • Paper I: General Knowledge, Intelligence Test, Agricultural Theory, Tea Technology (MCQs)

  • Paper II: Agriculture fundamentals, tea industry & extension communication
