Grade 10 ICT Syllabus Amended in 2026 – Grade 11 IT to Be Revised in 2027 | 2027 O/L ICT to Follow New Syllabus

 

The Ministry of Education has released a special official letter regarding amendments to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) syllabus at the GCE Ordinary Level.

According to the notification:

  • The Grade 10 ICT syllabus has been revised in 2026.

  • The Grade 11 ICT syllabus will be amended in 2027.

  • The 2027 GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) ICT examination will be conducted based on the newly revised syllabus.

Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment of Teachers (Sinhala, Tamil & English Medium) – 2026 National and Provincial Schools – Sri Lanka

With reference to the Extraordinary Gazette Notification No. 2474/19 dated 02 February 2026, calling for applications for the Open Competitive Examination – 2026 to recruit teachers for existing vacancies in Sinhala, Tamil and English medium in National and Provincial Schools islandwide,

According to Section 5.1 of the said Gazette Notification,

The closing date for fulfilling the required degree qualifications has been revised to 05 March 2026.

This amendment has been approved at the Cabinet Meeting held on 16 February 2026.

Application - Approval of School Library Books


Here we have attached the Application form for the approval of School Library Books.

If it is a printed copy, 03 copies thereof must be submitted and if it is a hand written manuscript 02 copies thereof must be submitted in order to obtain the approval by the Educational Publications Advisory Board.

Important 
  • Books written by the children under 18 years old
  • Books written in parallel to the books published by the Department of Educational Publications in accordance with the school syllabus
  • Question and Answer Books ( Grade 5 Scholarship / G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) / G.C.E. (Advanced Level)
  • Workbooks (Primary and other) 
  • Picture Dictionary 
Shall not be accepted for giving school library license.
