Sri Lanka Police has introduced online information system on Kandy Esala Perahera.
The historic Esala Perahera, which is held annually at the Sri Dalada Maligaya in Kandy, is scheduled to begin on 30.07.2025 and continue until 08.08.2025. A large number of local and foreign people are expected to participate in this perahera. Therefore, the Sri Lanka Police has planned to implement a special security and traffic plan for this.
Accordingly, the Sri Lanka Police has introduced the 'Kandy Esala Perahera - 2025' information management system for the convenience of the public visiting the Dalada Perahera. The public using this will also be able to obtain live information regarding
- parking lots
- the route of the Perahera
- places where the Perahera can be viewed
- places where sanitary facilities can be provided
- places where people who have missed out on the procession can be met.
