PGD in Bilingual Education
Applications are invited for the Postgraduate Diploma in Bilingual Education Program from Open University of Sri Lanka.
The Ministry of Education will sponsor the total course fee for 50 applicants serving in the public school system.
Target Group
- Bilingual Education teachers in government schools and pirivenas
- a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university at SLQF Level 5 or above OR
- a professional qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 07, OR
- successful completion of a Postgraduate Certificate from the Postgraduate Institute of English (PGIE), of The Open University of Sri Lanka OR
- a teacher training certificate from a recognized institution and 08 years of teaching experience OR
- an equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate. AND
- Should currently be a BE teacher (or have access to a BE classroom) AND
- Pass the selection test/ interview
