Applications are invited for advanced certificate in science course from open university of Sri Lanka. This is the foundation programme to an entry qualification for science & Engineering Technology Degrees.

Entry Qualifications
- At least six (06) passes at the G.C.E (O/L) examination including Mathematics and Science, OR,
- Any other equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate.
Exemptions shall be granted for Part 1 courses (year 1), if students have followed the relevant subject in the GCE (A/L) and obtain at least of 40% overall marks at the Exemption Test conducted by the OUSL.
A student having a minimum of Simple Pass (S) for a relevant subject in the GCE (A/L), may claim exemptions for Parts 1 and 2 courses of the relevant discipline of the Advanced Certificate in Science programme, subject to acquiring a minimum of 50% of the total credit requirement by successful completion of courses.
