Target Oriented Multidisciplinary Research Grants
Call for Pre-Proposals
The National Research Council (NRC) of Sri Lanka, under the Ministry of Science & Technology, has invited pre-proposals for Target Oriented (TO) Multidisciplinary Research Grants – 2026.
These research grants aim to support problem-oriented, nationally relevant research projects that contribute to sustainable development, social welfare, and environmental sustainability in Sri Lanka.

Researchers can submit proposals under the following priority fields:

For 2026, there will be two submission deadlines.
Each applicant can submit only one pre-proposal, and only one grant will be awarded per applicant.

How to Apply

Complete the pre-proposal and obtain the seal and signature of the Institutional Head or Vice-Chancellor.
Step 3
Submit the proposal according to NRC guidelines.
