Uva Provincial Literati Appreciation Program 2026 – Book Submission Invitation

  The Uva Provincial Ministry of Culture has launched a special program in 2026 to appreciate and support writers residing within the Uva Province. Under this program, the ministry plans to purchase literary works published by local authors to promote literature and encourage creative writing in the province.

📚 Program Objective

To promote literature and encourage writers residing in the Uva Province by purchasing selected literary works.

📝 Eligible Authors

• Authors residing within the Uva Province
• Books published between 30 April 2025 – 30 May 2026
• Books written in Sinhala, Tamil or English

📖 Accepted Categories

• Novels
• Short Stories
• Prose and Poetry
• Song / Lyrics
• Translations
• Research Works

🌍 Special Fields

• Political Studies
• Social Studies
• Economic Studies
• Cultural Studies
• Environmental Studies
• School Education related works

⭐ Selection Process

Books will be purchased based on recommendations made by an appointed oversight committee.
