Overview
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for academic positions at SLIIT. Vacancies are available under the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, and SLIIT Business School.
Faculty of Humanities and Sciences
Department of Applied Science
Assistant Professor
Applicants should possess a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences / Biotechnology with First or Second Class Honours and a Doctoral degree in Biological Sciences / Biotechnology.
A minimum of six years of proven experience in teaching, research or industry practice after completing a bachelor’s degree, with a strong publication record in reputed journals and significant professional contributions, is required.
School of Law
Assistant Professor
Applicants should possess a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related discipline with First or Second Class Honours and a Doctoral degree in Law.
A minimum of six years of proven experience in teaching, research or industry practice after completing a bachelor’s degree, with a strong publication record in reputed journals and significant professional contributions, is required.
Department of Mathematics and Statistics
Senior Lecturer
Applicants should possess a recognized bachelor’s degree in Financial Mathematics / Statistics / Mathematics or related discipline with First or Second Class Honours and a two-year research-based master’s degree, or a master’s degree with at least 60 credits including not less than 15 credits equivalent to research by thesis/dissertation.
At least 06 years of experience in teaching and demonstrated competence in research or industry practice after completing the bachelor’s degree is required.
A strong record of publications in reputed journals and/or significant professional contributions is required.
Faculty of Engineering and Architecture
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Assistant Professor
Applicants should possess a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with First or Second Class Honours and a Doctoral degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
A minimum of six years of proven experience in teaching, research or industry practice after completing a bachelor’s degree, with a strong publication record and professional contributions, is required.
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Assistant Lecturer (Temporary)
Applicants must hold a First or Second Class Honours four-year Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Teaching experience will be an added qualification.
School of Architecture
Lecturer (Tenure Track)
Applicants must hold a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related discipline with 1st or 2nd Class Honours, or a 3-year Bachelor’s degree with 1st or 2nd Class Honours, or a pass in a four-year degree and a Master’s degree at SLQF Level 9 in relevant specialization.
A minimum of two years’ experience in teaching at undergraduate level or satisfactory industrial experience and evidence of research output is required.
SLIIT Business School
Department of Business Management
Senior Lecturer
Applicants must hold a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Management with 1st or 2nd Class Honours and a Master’s degree at SLQF Level 10 or above, or a three-year Bachelor’s degree with 1st or 2nd Class Honours and a Master’s degree at SLQF Level 10 or above, or a Bachelor’s degree in a selected discipline with 1st or 2nd Class Honours or a Bachelor’s degree with minimum five years of experience as a qualified professional and a professional Master’s degree in the required specialization.
Applicants should have at least six years of demonstrated competence in research, teaching and/or industry practice after the bachelor’s degree.
