Candidates should possess relevant academic qualifications in
Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Agriculture, Agricultural
Technology, Agricultural Resource Management, Biosystems Technology
or another related field specified in the official Scheme of Recruitment.
General Qualification Summary
- Relevant BSc Honours degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Resource Management, Biosystems Technology or a related field.
- Degree specialization or postgraduate qualifications in Biotechnology or Agricultural Biotechnology may be required according to the post.
- Lecturer applicants may be considered according to the class obtained in their relevant honours degree and other approved qualifications.
- Senior Lecturer Grade II applicants generally require relevant postgraduate qualifications and at least six years of eligible experience.
- Senior Lecturer Grade I applicants generally require relevant postgraduate qualifications and at least twelve years of eligible experience.
- Eligible experience may include university teaching, professional experience, recognized research or postgraduate study.
Preference: Preference will be given to applicants with
postgraduate qualifications in Biotechnology or Agricultural Biotechnology
and teaching experience in the field of Agriculture.
Applicants must carefully read the complete Scheme of Recruitment because the exact degree class, postgraduate qualification, research and experience requirements differ according to each post.

Rs. 160,520 – 187,820

Senior Lecturer Grade II
Rs. 138,980 – 171,320
Salary Code: U-AC 3 (II)
Lecturer – Unconfirmed
Rs. 121,340 – 136,040
Salary Code: U-AC 3 (III)
Lecturer – Probationary
Rs. 94,400 – 118,400
Salary Code: U-AC 3 (IV)
Government-approved allowances applicable to the university system will also be paid.
