Applicants should generally possess a degree specialising in Library Science or Information Science with the required class or honours. Certain categories also require a relevant doctoral or master’s degree with an approved research component.

Lecturer (Unconfirmed)

Applicants should possess the relevant degree and postgraduate qualifications prescribed in the official advertisement, together with fewer than six years of relevant teaching, professional, research or postgraduate-study experience.

Senior Lecturer Grade II

Applicants should possess the prescribed academic and postgraduate qualifications and at least six years of relevant experience.

An Attorney-at-Law with a Degree in Law or Legal Studies, together with at least two years of experience in court work, legal work and drafting legal documents.

The required experience should have been obtained after acquiring the relevant qualification in a state institution, corporation, reputed private-sector organization or official bar.

Salary and Selection

Salary Scale:
U-EX 1(II) – Rs. 85,305 - 3 × 2,020 - 91,365 (EB) 93,765; 12 × 2,400 - 122,565 per month

Government-approved allowances will also be paid.

Selection will be conducted through a structured interview.

Important Conditions

The advertised posts are permanent.
The initial appointment will be subject to a three-year probationary period.
Applicable employees will contribute 10% of earnings to the Universities Provident Fund.
The University will contribute 7% to the Universities Provident Fund and 8% to the Pension Fund.
The University will contribute 3% of earnings to the Employees’ Trust Fund.
