3. Farm Planning Officer

Workplace: Islandwide, according to service requirements

Qualifications: BSc Special Degree in Agriculture or a BSc Degree containing Agricultural Extension and Crop Science subjects, recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Additional requirements: One year of experience in credit, extension or development activities in a state board, corporation or recognized private institution, together with a computer certificate course from a recognized institution.

Salary Category: JM 1-1

4. Accounts Officer

Workplace: Islandwide, according to service requirements

Qualifications: A recognized degree containing Accounting as a subject, the intermediate examination of a recognized Chartered Professional Accountancy body, or a Higher National Diploma in Accounting.

Experience: One year of accounting experience in a government institution, corporation or government-recognized institution.

5. Internal Audit Officer

வயதெல்லை: முகாமைத்துவ மற்றும் கனிஷ்ட முகாமைத்துவப் பதவிகளுக்கு 22–45 வயதும், MA 2-3 பதவிகளுக்கு 18–45 வயதும் ஆகும்.

Available Work Categories

Applicants should be willing and physically capable of performing the duties assigned under Israel’s Commerce and Services Sector. The available work categories include:

Laundry workers
Butchers, fishmongers and similar trades
Unskilled gardening workers
Kitchen assistants in non-restaurant food establishments or snack bars
Recycling collection workers
Manual packaging workers in delis and food retail stores
Shelf stockers and merchandisers
Parcel and cargo porters, messengers and carriers

Important: Applicants should be capable of performing several of the duties mentioned above and must be prepared to undertake the work assigned by the Israeli employer.

Main Eligibility Requirements

Applications are open to eligible males and females aged between 25 and 45 years.
The applicant must not be over 45 years of age at the PIBA “Name Check” stage.
Must be a Sri Lankan citizen holding a Sri Lankan passport valid for all countries.
Must have successfully completed at least 10 years of school education.
Must possess intermediate-level English communication and reading skills.
Must hold an SLBFE English-language certificate or an equivalent or higher qualification from an institution approved by SLBFE.
Must possess relevant work experience in the listed employment categories.
Must never have previously worked in Israel.
The applicant’s spouse, parents or children must not currently work or reside in Israel.
PIBA may disqualify an applicant in relevant circumstances if a sibling is living or working in Israel.
Must be physically and mentally fit to perform intensive labour.
Must be capable of heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking and other difficult duties.
Must be willing to undergo all medical examinations and other requirements imposed by the Israeli authorities.
Must have a clean police report and no history of drug, alcohol or cannabis abuse.
Applicants who worked abroad for more than six months may be required to submit a police clearance report from that country.
Must fulfil any additional requirements imposed by Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority – PIBA.

Health Requirements

Applicants must be in good physical and mental health and must not suffer from food or detergent allergies that could affect their ability to perform the assigned duties.

Applicants must not suffer from serious communicable or chronic health conditions, including tuberculosis, hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, syphilis, gonorrhoea or any physical or mental condition that may prevent them from satisfactorily fulfilling their employment obligations.

Application and Selection Process

Eligible applicants must register through the official SLBFE Israel Web Portal.
The portal provides a total of 10,000 registration slots: 8,000 for males and 2,000 for females.
The application portal may close automatically once the relevant male or female registration limit is reached.
Applicants will receive the preliminary interview date, time and location by SMS.
The preliminary interviews will be conducted through SLBFE regional and provincial offices.
Attendance on the date stated in the SMS is compulsory. Another date may not be provided to absent applicants.
Applicants must produce all documents specified in the SMS on the preliminary interview date.
Applicants who pass the preliminary interview will undergo physical-fitness and skills assessments.
Only applicants who pass the required assessments will have their details forwarded to PIBA.
PIBA will conduct a random selection or lottery among the qualified applicants.
Only applicants selected through the PIBA lottery will become eligible to receive employment contracts.

Registration does not guarantee employment. Passing the SLBFE interview and skills assessments also does not guarantee selection. Final selection will be made through the PIBA lottery.

Important Conditions and Warnings

Applicants may apply under a maximum of two Israel-bound employment sectors.
Persons who have already applied under two Israel employment sectors are not eligible to apply again.
Applicants must carefully select the correct gender when completing the online registration.
Incorrectly entering the applicant’s gender may cause the application to be rejected.
The work visa may generally be extended one year at a time, subject to Israeli law, employment quotas and government policy.
The employee must leave Israel at the end of the maximum permitted employment period.
Do not pay money to any person or intermediary for online registration, interviews, skills tests or lottery selection.
Only officially notified SLBFE service charges and registration fees should be paid.
An official SLBFE receipt must be obtained for every approved payment.

The post is permanent.
The appointment is subject to a three-year probation period.

The paper is designed to assess language ability, reasoning, decision-making ability and mathematical skills. It consists of 50 multiple-choice and short-answer questions.

Use of costing methods in management decision-making
Material, labour and overhead costs
Cost analysis
Variable and fixed costs
Direct and indirect costs
Long-term and short-term costs
Economic costs and costing principles
Statistical information for management decisions
Data collection and analysis
Statistical forecasting

The examination will be conducted in:

Candidates must answer all examination papers in the same language medium. The medium indicated in the application cannot subsequently be changed.

🏆 Selection Procedure

Candidates who pass the written examination will be ranked according to merit.

A number of candidates equal to twice the number of vacancies will be called for a structured interview.

Qualifications

External Applicants

A degree with First Class or Second Class from a recognized university or higher educational institute;
OR a recognized university degree together with a postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in Administration or Management.

Internal Applicants

A graduate of a recognized university or higher educational institution who is a confirmed employee of the university;
OR an employee who has completed at least five years of satisfactory service in the relevant field in Grade II of the Management Assistant non-technological or technological category.

Age Limit and Appointment

Applicants should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years. The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.

The appointment is permanent.
EPF and ETF entitlements are available.
The post is non-transferable.
Salaries will be paid according to Management Services Circular No. 06/2025 dated 25 March 2025.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected through a written competitive examination and/or structured interview.

Every applicant should:

Be a citizen of Sri Lanka;
Be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post;
Possess excellent moral character.

මෙය ස්ථිර තනතුරක් වන අතර අයදුම්කරුවන්ගේ වයස අවුරුදු 22ට නොඅඩු සහ අවුරුදු 45ට නොවැඩි විය යුතුය. අභ්‍යන්තර අයදුම්කරුවන් සඳහා උපරිම වයස් සීමාව අදාළ නොවේ.
