Microbiologist Recruitment 2026

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Microbiologist at the Coconut Development Authority.

Salary Scale

Rs. 91,690 – 10 × 2,480 – 15 × 3,450 – Rs. 168,240 per month under the MM 1-1 (2025) salary scale, together with approved government allowances.

Basic salary step mentioned in the notice: Rs. 81,710

Qualifications – External Applicants

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Science recognized by the University Grants Commission.
• Microbiology must have been studied as a subject or as one of the subjects during the Bachelor’s Degree.
• One year of relevant work experience obtained after completing the degree.

Qualifications – Internal Applicants

Internal applicants must possess the same qualifications prescribed for external applicants.

Age Requirement

Applicants must be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age as at the closing date.

The upper age limit will not apply to employees in the permanent service of the Coconut Development Authority.
