Applications are invited for EMT, Pilot and Emergency Medical Dispatcher positions.

1990 Suwa Seriya Foundation operates Sri Lanka’s pioneering emergency and pre-hospital care ambulance service under the Ministry of Health and Mass Media.

The foundation carries out its life-saving mission through 322 ambulances operating islandwide.

The Board of Management invites applications from suitably qualified, energetic and dynamic individuals for the following positions.

Available Vacancies

1. Emergency Medical Technician – EMT

Open to male and female applicants.
Applicants must be below 35 years of age.
Three passes at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in any stream, preferably in the Bio Science stream.
Applicants with NVQ Level 4 in a health-related field may also apply.
Minimum “S” pass in English at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination.
Basic Information Technology knowledge.
Additional language proficiency will be an advantage.
Previous experience in Emergency Medical Services will be an added advantage.
Minimum height for males: 5 feet 4 inches.
Minimum height for females: 5 feet 2 inches.
Body Mass Index must be between 18.5 and 27.

Training and Service Requirement:
Selected candidates must complete a diploma course conducted by the 1990 Suwa Seriya Foundation in collaboration with a university. Candidates must serve the foundation for at least three years after completing the course.

All applicants must successfully pass a physical fitness test.

2. Pilot – Ambulance Driver

Applicants must be below 35 years of age.
G.C.E. Ordinary Level with passes in six subjects.
A valid heavy vehicle driving licence.
Minimum two years of work experience in a reputed organization.
Good communication skills in Sinhala or Tamil.
English language knowledge will be an added advantage.
Minimum height: 5 feet 2 inches.
Body Mass Index must be between 18.5 and 27.
Visual acuity must be between 20/20 and 20/30.

All applicants must successfully pass an aptitude test.

3. Emergency Medical Dispatcher – EMD

Applicants must be below 35 years of age.
Three passes at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in any stream.
Good communication skills in Sinhala and Tamil.
English language proficiency and Information Technology literacy will be added advantages.

All applicants must successfully pass an aptitude test.

National School Principal Vacancies 2026

Applications for Principal vacancies assigned to the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service Grade II/III in National Schools islandwide.

Notice Date 02 July 2026

Closing Date 24 July 2026

Vacancy Period Up to 31 Dec 2026

The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has invited applications from eligible officers to fill Principal vacancies in National Schools that are vacant or expected to become vacant up to 31 December 2026. Applicants must use the prescribed application and follow the official conditions published in the Sinhala or Tamil notice.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible permanent officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service in the relevant Grade II/III service categories specified in the official notice.
Applicants must not have been officially declared unsuitable for appointment as a National School Principal by the Public Service Commission or its Education Service Committee.
Applicants should generally be below 58 years of age on the closing date. The official notice includes an exception for certain officers already serving in National School Principal posts.
Applicants must satisfy the school-type, subject-stream, service and other eligibility requirements stated in the notice and marking scheme.

Important Conditions

An applicant may select a maximum of three schools in order of preference.
A selected officer is generally expected to serve in the appointed post for at least three years, except where retirement falls within that period.
Appointments will be made according to available vacancies, eligibility, preferences and the approved selection procedure.
Applicants should carefully check the separate School List and Marking Scheme before completing the application.

Download and complete the prescribed application form on A4 paper.
Obtain the required certification or recommendation from the Head of the Institution or relevant authority.
Prepare the supporting documents and the self-addressed stamped envelope requested in the official notice.
Write the post description stated in the notice on the top-left corner of the envelope.
Send the application by registered post to reach the Ministry on or before 24 July 2026.
