The Sri Lanka Accreditation Board for Conformity Assessment (SLAB) invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for several vacant positions.

The vacancies are available for Assistant Director (Accreditation), Assistant Director (Finance), and Management Assistant (Non-Technological).

1. Assistant Director (Accreditation)

External Candidates – Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Medical Laboratory Sciences or Engineering recognized by the UGC.
• Minimum 01 year of relevant post-qualification experience in accreditation, conformity assessment, systems auditing or related activities in the public sector or a reputed private institution.

Internal Candidates

Must satisfy either of the following:

• Meet the external candidate qualifications; or
• Have at least 05 years of satisfactory relevant service in the Junior Manager (JM 1-1) category.

Age Limit

22–45 years. The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.

2. Assistant Director (Finance)

External Candidates – Qualifications

Applicants must satisfy either Option 1 or Option 2.

Option 1:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Financial Management, Business Administration, Business Management, Commerce or a relevant UGC-recognized degree.
• Minimum 01 year of relevant work experience after obtaining the degree.

OR – Option 2:

• Passed the Intermediate Examination of a recognized professional Chartered Institute in a relevant subject area.
• Minimum 01 year of relevant post-qualification work experience.

Internal Candidates

Must satisfy either of the following:

• Meet the external candidate qualifications; or
• Complete 05 years of satisfactory service in a relevant Junior Manager (JM) category post.

Age Limit

22–45 years. The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.

3. Management Assistant (Non-Technological)

External Candidates – Qualifications

• G.C.E. (O/L): Six subjects passed in one sitting, including credit passes for four subjects. The four credits must include Sinhala/Tamil, English Language and Mathematics.
• G.C.E. (A/L): Passed three subjects (excluding General Paper) in one sitting in Science, Mathematics, Technology or Commerce.
• Completed a six-month Certificate Course in Computer Application from a recognized institute.

Internal Candidates

SLAB employees in the Primary Level Skilled, Semiskilled or Unskilled categories must have:

• Six G.C.E. (O/L) passes including four credits covering Sinhala/Tamil, English and Mathematics.
• At least 05 years of satisfactory service in a permanent post in the relevant employee category.
• A six-month Computer Application certificate from a recognized institute.

Age Limit

18–45 years. The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.
