🚗 Driver Vacancy 2026 – English

The Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM), University of Colombo, invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for recruitment to the post of Driver (Grade III).

🎓 Educational Qualifications

• Applicants must have passed six (06) subjects in the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
• At least two (02) credit passes must have been obtained.
• These qualifications should have been obtained within a maximum of two sittings.

🚘 Driving Qualifications and Experience

• Applicants must possess a valid driving licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic for driving heavy vehicles.
• A minimum of three (03) years of driving experience after obtaining the driving licence is required.

👤 Age and Other Requirements

Applicants should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age.

• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post and serve in any part of the island.
• Must possess excellent moral character.

📝 Selection Procedure

Selection will be conducted through a structured interview and a trade test.

💰 Salary Scale

Rs. 48,005 – 16 × 490 – Rs. 55,845 per month, as at 01.01.2025, under salary code U PL 3 (III).
