Driver Vacancy 2026
University of Colombo
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Driver – Grade III at the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo. Applicants must submit the prescribed application form together with the required certificates and supporting documents.
🚘 Vacancy Details
🎓 Educational Qualifications
- Applicants must have passed six subjects at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
- The results must include at least two credit passes.
- The required results must have been obtained in a maximum of two sittings.
🪪 Driving Licence and Experience
- Applicants must possess a valid driving licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic for driving heavy vehicles.
- Applicants must have a minimum of three years of driving experience after obtaining the required driving licence.
👤 Age and General Requirements
- Applicants must be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age.
- Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
- Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post and to serve in any part of the island.
- Applicants must possess excellent moral character.
📝 Selection Method
- Selection will be made through a structured interview.
- Applicants will also be required to face a trade test.
💰 Salary Scale
Salary code: U-PL 3 (III)
Salary scale applicable as at 01 January 2025.
