🎓 Required Qualifications

G.C.E. Ordinary Level

Applicants should have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects at one sitting, with Credit Passes in:

Sinhala Language / Tamil Language
English Language / English Literature
Mathematics

G.C.E. Advanced Level

Applicants should have passed all subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination, except the Common General Paper, at one sitting.

📦 Store-keeping Qualification

In addition to the above general qualifications, candidates should possess:

One year experience in Store-keeping

and/or

A pass in Commerce at the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination

or

A pass in Accountancy at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination

💻 Preferred Qualifications

An acceptable qualification in Computer Applications of not less than six (06) months duration from a recognized institute.
Two years of experience in the use of computer application packages.
📌 Preference will be given to candidates possessing the above computer qualifications and experience.

💰 Salary

Salary Scale: U-MN 1 (III)
Rs. 49,475 – 17 × 540 – Rs. 58,655 per month

Cost of living allowance and other approved allowances will also be paid to selected candidates.

📝 Method of Selection

Written Examination – 75%

The written examination will cover:

Sinhala / Tamil and English Language Knowledge
Intelligence Quotient and General Knowledge
Computer Literacy
Knowledge in Store-keeping
Interview – 25%

Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
Must be not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age on the closing date.

The University of Moratuwa invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for several non-academic vacancies. Eligible applicants can apply through the official online application portal. Available Vacancies

01. Mason – Grade III
Qualification:
Applicants should possess a Proficiency Certificate of not less than National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 4, issued by a Technical or Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, relevant to the duties of the post.
Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.
Salary Scale: U-PL 3 (III) – Rs. 48,005–16×490–55,845 per month.
Method of Selection: Trade Test and Structured Interview.
02. Laboratory Attendant – Grade III
Qualification – Option 1:
Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in six subjects with at least two credit passes in not more than two sittings, together with an NVQ Level 2 or 3 proficiency certificate relevant to the post.
Qualification – Option 2:
Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in six subjects with at least two credit passes in not more than two sittings, together with one year of relevant working experience and industrial skills.
Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.
Salary Scale: U-PL 2 (III) – Rs. 44,575–16×490–52,415 per month.
Method of Selection: Trade Test and Structured Interview.
03. Security Guard – Grade III
Qualification:
Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in six subjects with at least two credit passes in not more than two sittings.
Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.
Additional Requirement:
A recently obtained police report must be submitted with the application.
Salary Scale: U-PL 1 (III) – Rs. 42,775–16×450–49,975 per month.
Method of Selection: Trade Test and Structured Interview.

General Requirements

  • Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
  • Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post and serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
  • Applicants should possess excellent moral character.
  • Cost-of-living allowance and other approved allowances will be paid in addition to the basic salary.

Driver (Grade III)

  • Passed G.C.E. O/L in 6 subjects with at least 2 credit passes in not more than 2 sittings
  • Heavy vehicle driving licence required
  • Minimum 3 years driving experience after obtaining licence
  • Police report should be submitted with application
  • Age: 18 to 45 years
  • Salary: U-PL 3 (III) Rs. 48,005 – 55,845
  • Selection: Trade Test and Structured Interview
Post 05

Tractor Operator (Grade III)

  • Passed G.C.E. O/L in 6 subjects with at least 2 credit passes in not more than 2 sittings
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 relevant to the post OR 1 year relevant field experience
  • Must possess valid G1 category driving licence
  • Age: 18 to 45 years
  • Salary: U-PL 2 (III) Rs. 44,575 – 52,415
  • Selection: Trade Test and Structured Interview

Term: 03 years or until age 65, whichever occurs earlier

💰 Salary & Allowances

Eligible to be placed on the highest academic salary scale and for an entertainment allowance of 15% of the basic salary, with other applicable allowances according to prevailing rules and regulations.
