Required Academic Qualification
Applicants should possess any one of the following:
- A First Class or Second Class Upper Division in a Special Degree; or
- A Second Class Lower Division in a Special Degree; or a First Class or Second Class Upper Division in a General Degree; or
- A pass in a degree examination and a postgraduate degree of at least two academic years in Library and Information Sciences, including a research component through a thesis or dissertation.
Salary Scales
Monthly Salary Details
Rs. 160,520 – 7 × 3,900 – Rs. 187,820
U-AC 3(I) | Academic Allowance: 116% + Rs. 2,200
Rs. 138,980 – 11 × 2,940 – Rs. 171,320
U-AC 3(II) | Academic Allowance: 116% + Rs. 2,100
Rs. 121,340 – 5 × 2,940 – Rs. 136,040
U-AC 3(III) | Academic Allowance: 102% + Rs. 1,800
Rs. 94,400 – 10 × 2,400 – Rs. 118,400
U-AC 3(IV) | Academic Allowance: 91% + Rs. 1,200
The salary and academic allowance will be paid according to University Grants Commission Circular No. 02/2025(i) dated 04.04.2025. Cost-of-living and other approved allowances will also be paid.
