Course Overview
Applications are now invited for the BA (Hons) in English and English Language Teaching offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka for the academic year 2026/2027. This degree programme is designed for students who wish to build their academic and professional knowledge in English, literature, and English language teaching.

- Total Course Fee (for 4 years): LKR 400,000 approx.

Admission Requirements
- Possess the OUSL Diploma in English Language & Literature (application required), or
- Possess a Diploma in Teaching English (ESL) of 2 years’ duration from a National College of Education (NCOE), or
- Possess any other recognized 2-year Teacher Training Qualification in Teaching English as a Second Language, acceptable to the OUSL Senate, or
- Possess passes in three (03) subjects including English Literature at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination or an equivalent qualification.

- Mode: Students will be required to attend both online and onsite academic activities
- Payment Method: Application fee can be paid online using a debit/credit card
- Cash Payment: Applicants can make the application payment in cash to Regional/Study Centres of OUSL (except on Mondays)
