📘 About the Programme

The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) invites applications for the Master of Science (MSc) in Data Science programme, offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Technology.

This postgraduate programme is designed to develop knowledge and practical skills in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistical Analysis, Data Management and Big Data Technologies.

The programme is conducted on a part-time basis through blended and distance learning, making it suitable for graduates and working professionals.

✅ Admission Requirements

Applicants must satisfy at least one of the following qualification pathways:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Technology in a Computing field from a recognized university.
2. A Bachelor's degree in another field from a recognized university, with at least 35% of total credits in Computing or IT-related subjects, together with a minimum of one year of appropriate computing-related experience after graduation.
3. Membership of a recognized professional institute relevant to Computing, obtained through an academic route at SLQF Level 6, together with at least one year of appropriate experience after obtaining membership.
4. Other qualifications and experience acceptable to the University Senate.

📌 Additional Requirement: Applicants must pass a selection interview conducted by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
