Human Rights Certificate & Diploma Courses 2026

Centre for the Study of Human Rights – University of Peradeniya

Application Closing Date: 31 July 2026

The Centre for the Study of Human Rights of the University of Peradeniya has invited applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the Human Rights Certificate Course and Diploma Course conducted in 2026. The programmes are available in Sinhala and Tamil media.

Certificate Course in Human Rights

Duration: 2 Months Fee: Rs. 20,000 Sinhala / Tamil

The course fee may be paid in two instalments.
Application fee: Rs. 1,000.
Open to undergraduates, G.C.E. A/L qualified applicants and eligible G.C.E. O/L qualified applicants with relevant civil-society, human-rights, social-development or service experience, as stated in the official notice.

Diploma Course in Human Rights

Duration: 8 Months Fee: Rs. 40,000 Sinhala / Tamil

The course fee may be paid in instalments.
Application fee: Rs. 1,000.
Applicants should have completed the relevant Human Rights Certificate Course or satisfy the G.C.E. A/L and relevant work/service-experience requirements stated in the official notice.
