🇬🇧 English – Course Details

The National Institute of Education (NIE), through its Department of Inclusive Education, invites applications for admission to the Sign Language Diploma and Certificate Courses – 2026.

These programmes aim to develop skills in understanding signs, communicating through sign language, interpreting sign language and teaching through sign language.

• Institution: National Institute of Education, Maharagama
• Department: Inclusive Education
• Duration: One year, during weekends
• Medium: Sinhala
• Mode: Online learning sessions and practical sessions at NIE and special schools
• Selection: Interview

1. Diploma in Sign Language

SLQF Level 3

Eligibility:

• Must have passed G.C.E. Advanced Level.
• Must belong to at least one of the following categories:
  • Teacher at a government or government-approved school or Pirivena
  • Officer in Sri Lanka Teacher Educators' Service or Teacher Advisors' Service
  • Officer in Sri Lanka Principals' Service or Education Administrative Service
  • Academic staff officer at NIE
  • Employee of a school, institution or department working with children with special educational needs
• Must be below 55 years of age as at 30 November 2026.

2. Certificate Course in Sign Language

SLQF Level 2

Eligibility:

• Must have passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level.
• Must be employed in a school, institution or department working with children with special educational needs.
• Must be below 55 years of age as at 30 November 2026.

Course Fees

Diploma Course

• Application Fee: Rs. 200
• Registration Fee: Rs. 1,000
• Course Fee: Rs. 50,000

Course fee can be paid in two instalments.

Certificate Course

• Application Fee: Rs. 200
• Registration Fee: Rs. 1,000
• Course Fee: Rs. 25,000

Course fee can be paid in two instalments.

All payments can be made using credit or debit cards.

Application Method: Applications must be submitted online through the official NIE examinations system. Applicants should register or log in to their accounts and complete the required application process.

ජාතික අධ්‍යාපන ආයතනයේ අන්තර්කරණ අධ්‍යාපන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව මගින් සංවිධානය කරන සංඥා භාෂාව පිළිබඳ ඩිප්ලෝමා සහ සහතික පත්‍ර පාඨමාලා 2026 සඳහා අයදුම්පත් කැඳවනු ලැබේ.

පාඨමාලා

• සංඥා භාෂාව පිළිබඳ ඩිප්ලෝමා පාඨමාලාව – SLQF Level 3
• සංඥා භාෂාව පිළිබඳ සහතික පත්‍ර පාඨමාලාව – SLQF Level 2

කාලය: වසරක් (සති අන්ත)

මාධ්‍යය: සිංහල

ඉගෙනුම් ක්‍රමය: මාර්ගගත අධ්‍යයන සැසි සහ ප්‍රායෝගික සැසි

සුදුසුකම්

ඩිප්ලෝමා පාඨමාලාව: අ.පො.ස. උසස් පෙළ සමත් වීම සහ නිවේදනයේ සඳහන් අදාළ අධ්‍යාපන සේවා හෝ විශේෂ අධ්‍යාපන ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ සේවය කිරීම.

සහතික පත්‍ර පාඨමාලාව: අ.පො.ස. සාමාන්‍ය පෙළ සමත් වීම සහ විශේෂ අධ්‍යාපන අවශ්‍යතා සහිත දරුවන් සම්බන්ධව සේවය කිරීම.

වයස් සීමාව: 2026.11.30 දිනට අවුරුදු 55 ට අඩු විය යුතුය.

පාඨමාලා ගාස්තු

• ඩිප්ලෝමා පාඨමාලාව: රු. 50,000
• සහතික පත්‍ර පාඨමාලාව: රු. 25,000
• අයදුම්පත් ගාස්තුව: රු. 200
• ලියාපදිංචි ගාස්තුව: රු. 1,000

පාඨමාලා ගාස්තුව වාරික දෙකකින් ගෙවිය හැකිය. සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණයක් මගින් සුදුස්සන් තෝරාගනු ලැබේ.

தேசிய கல்வி நிறுவகத்தின் உள்ளடக்கக் கல்வித் திணைக்களத்தினால் நடத்தப்படும் சைகை மொழி டிப்ளோமா மற்றும் சான்றிதழ் கற்கைநெறிகள் – 2026 இற்கு விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்படுகின்றன.

கற்கைநெறிகள்

• சைகை மொழி டிப்ளோமா கற்கைநெறி – SLQF Level 3
• சைகை மொழி சான்றிதழ் கற்கைநெறி – SLQF Level 2

கால அளவு: ஒரு வருடம் (வார இறுதி நாட்கள்)

கற்பித்தல் மொழி: சிங்களம்

கற்றல் முறை: இணையவழிக் கற்றல் மற்றும் நேரடி செயன்முறைப் பயிற்சிகள்

தகைமைகள்

டிப்ளோமா: க.பொ.த. உயர்தரத்தில் சித்தியடைந்திருத்தல் மற்றும் அறிவித்தலில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ள கல்விச் சேவைகளில் அல்லது விசேட கல்வித் தேவையுடைய பிள்ளைகளுடன் தொடர்புடைய நிறுவனங்களில் பணியாற்றுதல்.

சான்றிதழ் கற்கைநெறி: க.பொ.த. சாதாரண தரத்தில் சித்தியடைந்திருத்தல் மற்றும் விசேட கல்வித் தேவையுடைய பிள்ளைகளுடன் தொடர்புடைய பாடசாலை அல்லது நிறுவனமொன்றில் பணியாற்றுதல்.

வயதெல்லை: 30.11.2026 அன்று 55 வயதிற்குக் குறைவாக இருத்தல் வேண்டும்.

கட்டண விபரங்கள்

• டிப்ளோமா கற்கைநெறிக் கட்டணம்: ரூ. 50,000
• சான்றிதழ் கற்கைநெறிக் கட்டணம்: ரூ. 25,000
• விண்ணப்பக் கட்டணம்: ரூ. 200
• பதிவுக் கட்டணம்: ரூ. 1,000

கற்கைநெறிக் கட்டணத்தை இரண்டு தவணைகளில் செலுத்தலாம். நேர்முகப் பரீட்சை மூலம் தகுதியானவர்கள் தெரிவு செய்யப்படுவார்கள்.
