Programme Details

Applications are invited for the 22nd intake of the Bachelor of Science Degree in Plantation Management (External), offered by the Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka.

Admission Requirements

Executive officers in the plantation sector, officers of institutions related to plantation or agriculture, and proprietary planters may apply if they possess any one of the following:

• A Diploma in Agriculture and Plantation Management or Diploma in Modern Agro-technology offered by the Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka; or
• Another Senate-approved diploma of at least 12 months from a recognized agriculture-related institution, together with one year of relevant work experience; or
• Three G.C.E. A/L passes in Bio Science, Biosystems Technology, Agriculture, Mathematics or Commerce, or three passes at Edexcel/Cambridge Advanced Level, together with three years of relevant work experience.

Selection Process

Eligible applicants will sit an aptitude test in Basic Agriculture and English Language. Applicants who obtain at least 40% for each paper will be called for an interview. Final selection will be based on successful completion of these evaluations.

Course Fee and Scholarships

The total fee is Rs. 300,000. Rs. 100,000 must be paid at registration, and the balance may be paid in five instalments. Ten scholarships covering half of the course fee will be awarded based on financial need, educational qualifications, work experience and other relevant factors.

3. Print the PDF application generated by the system.
4. Send the printed application and original payment slip by registered post to: Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, Makandura, Gonawila (NWP).
