Provincial Secretary Rules Anuradhapura Zonal Education Director Guilty

The Chief Secretary of the North Central Province, acting as the disciplinary authority for the provincial public service, has ruled that the Anuradhapura Zonal Education Director is guilty of three financial charges, forging documents, and administrative misconduct.

The disciplinary order sent to Education Director Maheshi Mapitigama Hettiarachchi states that based on the formal disciplinary inquiry conducted regarding the charge sheet dated 2013/12/31 and the amended charge sheet dated 2024/07/16, she has been found guilty of all charges.

📢 Calling for Public Opinions for the Committee Report of presenting recommendations required for the quality enhancement of Education Services

An Education Council has been proposed to be established as per the recommendations of the Hon. Prime Minister and the Hon. Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education for improving the overall standard of education in Sri Lanka.

A Sri Lanka Education Council has been proposed to support quality assurance, accreditation, professional registration, and educational standards improvement in Sri Lanka.
