📢 Grade 5 Scholarship Re-Correction Results 2026

The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka has released the re-correction (re-scrutiny) results of the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2026.

Candidates and parents who requested a re-scrutiny of their examination results can check the relevant results online through the official Department of Examinations results portal.

2026 වර්ෂයේ පැවති පහ ශ්‍රේණිය ශිෂ්‍යත්ව විභාගයේ නැවත සමීක්ෂණ ප්‍රතිඵල ශ්‍රී ලංකා විභාග දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් නිකුත් කර ඇත.

மீளாய்வுக்கு விண்ணப்பித்த மாணவர்களும் பெற்றோர்களும் கீழே வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ள உத்தியோகபூர்வ இணையத்தளத்தின் மூலம் பெறுபேறுகளைப் பார்வையிடலாம்.

📢 The results of the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2026 are expected to be released during the first week of September 2026.

Grade 5 Scholarship Results 2026

The results of the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination held on 09 August 2026 are expected to be released during the first week of September 2026.

Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Liyanage has stated that the evaluation of answer scripts is scheduled to begin on 20 August 2026 and is expected to be completed by 25 August 2026.

According to the information reported, a total of 294,089 candidates appeared for this year's Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.

2026 අගෝස්තු 09 දින පැවැති 5 ශ්‍රේණිය ශිෂ්‍යත්ව විභාගයේ ප්‍රතිඵල සැප්තැම්බර් මස මුල් සතියේ නිකුත් කිරීමට අපේක්ෂා කරන බව වාර්තා වේ.

පිළිතුරු පත්‍ර ඇගයීම් කටයුතු අගෝස්තු 20 දින ආරම්භ කර අගෝස්තු 25 වන විට අවසන් කිරීමට නියමිතය.

මෙවර විභාගයට සිංහල මාධ්‍යයෙන් 220,366 දෙනෙකු සහ දෙමළ මාධ්‍යයෙන් 73,723 දෙනෙකු ඇතුළුව සමස්ත 294,089 දෙනෙකු පෙනී සිට ඇත.

📌 Examination Announcement

The Department of Examinations has announced that the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2026, conducted for the selection of students for schools and the awarding of scholarships, will be held on Sunday, 09 August 2026.

The examination is scheduled to be conducted at 2,723 examination centres throughout the island.

Admission cards and relevant documents for school candidates have been sent to the principals of their respective schools.

School principals should distribute the admission cards to eligible candidates and provide the necessary assistance and instructions relating to the examination.

🕤 9.30 a.m. – 10.45 a.m.
Duration: 1 hour and 15 minutes

🕚 11.15 a.m. – 12.15 p.m.
Duration: 1 hour

🏫 Instructions for School Principals

Principals must distribute admission cards to all eligible school candidates and provide them with the necessary examination instructions.

If there are any discrepancies in candidates’ details, the relevant amendments can be made through the official online examination service.

If there are any errors or amendments required in the details of school candidates appearing on the admission cards, the relevant school principals must make the corrections online.

The online facility for making admission card amendments will be available from 23 July 2026 to 03 August 2026.
