The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has announced a Walk-in Interview for the recruitment of a Lecturer (on Contract) attached to the Department of Plant Sciences at the Kandy Regional Center. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates with degrees related to Plant Sciences / Botany. Interested applicants are required to attend the interview with all relevant documents on 26th May 2026.

🎓 Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. Special Degree in Plant Sciences / Botany related fields or any other relevant degree with a class.
• Preference will be given for applicants with undergraduate teaching experience or ODL experience.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be considered an added advantage.

⏳ Duration of Appointment

Appointments will initially be made for six months and may be extended up to four years based on performance.
