The SAARC Cultural Centre (SCC), Colombo, Sri Lanka, the Regional Centre for Art and Culture of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), invites applications from suitably qualified nationals of SAARC Member States for the following position:

📌 Position: Deputy Director (Research)

🎓 Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or higher from a recognized university (preferably in Cultural Studies, Social Sciences, Humanities, Archaeology, Anthropology, or Aesthetic Studies)

• Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in Social Sciences or Humanities

💼 Experience

• Minimum 15 years of research experience in Culture, Art, or Social Sciences

• At least 10 years at Deputy Director level or equivalent

• Proven track record in developing research programmes

• Experience in conducting workshops and seminars

• Ability to manage research programmes independently

• Strong computer skills and excellent communication skills in English

📋 Summary of Responsibilities

• Planning and implementation of research programmes

• Preparation of concept papers, monitoring, and reporting

• Supervising research staff

• Assisting the Director in publications

• Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships

💰 Allowances & Benefits

• Living Allowance: US $1,580.70 per month

• Residential Accommodation
