Independent Television Network Ltd. (ITN), one of Sri Lanka's leading media networks, invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for vacancies in its Programme and News & Current Affairs Divisions.
The network operates ITN, Vasantham TV, Lakhanda and Vasantham FM, along with digital media and streaming platforms.
Opportunities are available in management, television production, journalism, graphic design, video editing, technical services, presentation and supporting services.

🎓 Educational Qualifications
Qualifications vary according to the position. Depending on the vacancy, applicants may require:
- A UGC-recognized Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- NVQ Level 5, 6 or 7 qualifications in the relevant subject area.
- Relevant professional experience in broadcasting, journalism, multimedia, design or technical services.
- G.C.E. O/L and A/L qualifications for Assistant Producer positions.
Assistant Producer – External Applicants: Applicants must have passed six O/L subjects in one sitting, with four credit passes including Sinhala/Tamil, English and Mathematics, and passed three A/L subjects excluding the General Paper.
Set Assistant: A relevant qualification of at least NVQ Level 2 is required for external applicants.
🎂 Age Limits
- Manager (Programme Services): 35–55 years.
- Assistant Manager positions: 22–45 years.
- Senior positions (JM 1-1): 22–45 years.
- Other listed categories: generally 18–45 years, except Producer (Trailer), which is 22–45 years.
The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates as stated in the advertisement.
💰 Salary Scales
- HM 1-1: Rs. 140,640 – 202,140
- MM 1-1: Rs. 91,690 – 168,240
- JM 1-1: Rs. 72,650 – 122,970
- MA 4: Rs. 64,320 – 113,170
- MA 2-2: Rs. 50,540 – 90,270
- MA 1-2: Rs. 46,220 – 84,350
- PL 2: Rs. 42,300 – 66,060
These are the published salary scales, not guaranteed starting take-home salaries. Until 1 January 2027, remuneration will follow Schedule II of Management Services Circular No. 01/2025.

- Provident Fund: 10% employee and 15% employer contributions.
- Employer ETF contribution of 3%.
