Closing Date: 05 October 2026Applications are invited from Sri Lankan citizens for the following permanent vacancies at St. Joachim Estate, Ratnapura, under the Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka.
1. Field Officer
Job Description
Responsible for harvesting activities, agricultural practices, maintaining divisional books and handling worker issues under the instructions of the Estate Superintendent.
Qualifications and Experience
- G.C.E. (O/L) with English and Arithmetic/Mathematics. This requirement does not apply to applicants with experience in the trade.
- At least 5 years of experience as an Assistant Field Officer.
Salary: Rs. 40,190/- – 1,775 × 40 – Rs. 111,190/- per month
Age Limit
32–50 years. The upper age limit does not apply to employees serving at TRI Estates.
2. Junior Assistant Factory Officer
Job Description
Assist the Factory Officer with tea processing and related work under the supervision of the Factory Officer.
Qualifications and Experience
- Passed G.C.E. (O/L) with English and Arithmetic/Mathematics. This requirement does not apply to applicants with experience in the trade.
- Must be a trained Factory Supervisor.
Salary: Rs. 38,965/- – 875 × 40 – Rs. 73,965/- per month
Age Limit
18–45 years. The upper age limit does not apply to employees serving at TRI Estates.
3. Driver (Lorry/Tractor)
Job Description
Take charge of assigned vehicles and transport green leaf, sundries and patients under the supervision of the Estate Superintendent.
Qualifications and Experience
- Passed Grade 8.
- A valid heavy-vehicle driving licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
- At least 4 years of driving experience in a government organization or a reputed private-sector institution after obtaining the licence.
Salary: Rs. 37,690/- – 875 × 40 – Rs. 72,690/- per month
Age Limit
18–45 years. The upper age limit does not apply to employees serving at TRI Estates.
