National Housing Development Authority Vacancies 2026 – Legal Officer (Service Contract) – 03 Posts

The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Water Supply – National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) invites applications from qualified legal professionals to provide legal services under a service contract basis.

Post: Legal Officer (On a Service Contract)
Location: Head Office – Colombo
No. of Posts: 03

Eligibility Criteria

Must be a Supreme Court Lawyer

Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification

AND

Minimum 03 years work experience in court proceedings after being sworn in as a Supreme Court Lawyer

03 years experience in providing legal services in a public sector institution, statutory body or recognized private institution

Scope of Work

Appear before courts, tribunals, arbitration boards, commissions and statutory bodies on behalf of NHDA
Conduct matters relating to cases filed by and against NHDA
Draft legal documents, deeds and provide legal advice
Assist in disciplinary inquiries and other legal services

Emoluments

Payments will be made as per government procurement guidelines.

One year service contract
Based on providing legal services

Method of Selection

Interview conducted in accordance with government procurement guidelines
