The National Science and Technology Commission (NASTEC), functioning under the Ministry of Science and Technology, has invited applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Assistant Director (Finance and Administration) on a contract basis.

Educational Qualifications

• A Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission in Financial Management, Accountancy, Commerce, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration or another relevant discipline.
• AND Minimum one year post-qualifying experience in Accounting or Administration.
• OR Passed the Intermediate Examination of a recognized Professional Chartered Institute relevant to the subject area.
• AND Minimum one year post-qualifying experience after obtaining the professional qualification.

Internal Applicants

• Must possess the qualifications required for external candidates.
• OR
• Minimum five years satisfactory service in the Junior Manager (JM) category in the relevant subject area.

Selection Procedure

• Written Competitive Examination (where applicable).
• Structured Interview.
• Selection by a panel appointed by the Board of Directors.
