📖 About the Vacancy

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Director of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), University of Peradeniya.

The Director will function as the Principal Executive Officer, Principal Academic Officer and Accounting Officer of the Institute. The selected candidate will also serve as Chairman of the Board of Management and will provide academic leadership to the institute.

🎓 Required Qualifications

• Applicants should possess Board Certification or a Doctoral Qualification (PhD or equivalent) in a medical specialty.
• Experience in administering an academic institution will be considered an added advantage.
• Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Applicants should be citizens of Sri Lanka.
• Applicants should be below 63 years of age by the closing date.

• Complete Curriculum Vitae including date of birth.
• Personal statement explaining the vision for the development of the institute.
• Employer recommendation/release letter for applicants serving in Public Service, Corporations, Statutory Bodies or Higher Educational Institutions.
