English – Examination Details
Applications are invited from eligible Sri Lankan citizens for the Limited Competitive Examination for recruitment to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service – 2026.
Salary Scale
The monthly salary scale applicable to this post under Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025 is:
Rs. 82,150 – 10 × 2,400 – 8 × 2,940 – 17 × 3,900 – Rs. 195,970 (SL-1-2025)
Other allowances paid by the Government to public officers may also apply.
Basic Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
- Applicants must possess an excellent character.
- Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
- Applicants must be confirmed in a relevant permanent and pensionable post or service in the Public Service or Provincial Public Service.
- Applicants must not have received a disciplinary punishment under the provisions specified in Public Service Commission Circular No. 01/2020 by the qualification date.
Educational Qualifications and Service Experience
Applicants must satisfy one of the following routes:
- Possess a recognized degree and have completed at least five years of active and satisfactory service in an eligible permanent and pensionable post/service under the applicable MN or SL-1 salary category;
- Or have completed at least ten years of active and satisfactory service in an eligible permanent and pensionable post/service under the applicable MN or SL-1 salary category.
Age Limit
Applicants must not be more than 53 years of age on the qualification date. Accordingly, only persons born on or after 28 August 1973 are eligible to apply.
Number of Attempts
An applicant is not permitted to sit for this Limited Competitive Examination more than three times, subject to the conditions stated in the Gazette.

Marks: 100 | Pass mark: 50 | Duration: 1½ hours

The examination will be conducted in Sinhala, Tamil and English. Applicants must answer all papers in the language medium selected in the application. The selected medium cannot be changed later.
Selection Process
- Written competitive examination
- General interview to verify qualifications
- Structured interview carrying a maximum of 25 marks
- Final selection based on the total marks obtained at the written examination and structured interview

ශ්රී ලංකා පරිපාලන සේවයේ III ශ්රේණියේ පවතින පුරප්පාඩු 40ක් සීමිත පදනම මත පිරවීම සඳහා සුදුසුකම් ලත් නිලධාරීන්ගෙන් මාර්ගගත අයදුම්පත් කැඳවනු ලැබේ.

- අයදුම් කිරීම: මාර්ගගත ක්රමයට පමණි
- අයදුම්පත් ආරම්භය: 2026.08.31 පෙ.ව. 9.00

- වයස් සීමාව: අවුරුදු 53ට නොවැඩි විය යුතු අතර, 1973.08.28 දින හෝ ඊට පසු උපන් අය සුදුසු වේ.
- පිළිගත් උපාධියක් සහ අදාළ සේවයේ අවම වශයෙන් වසර 5ක සක්රීය හා සතුටුදායක සේවා කාලයක් හෝ ගැසට් නිවේදනයේ සඳහන් විකල්පය අනුව අවම වශයෙන් වසර 10ක අදාළ සේවා කාලයක් තිබිය යුතුය.
- අයදුම්පත ඉංග්රීසි භාෂාවෙන් පමණක් සම්පූර්ණ කළ යුතුය.
- සියලු සුදුසුකම් සඳහා නිල ගැසට් නිවේදනය අනිවාර්යයෙන් කියවන්න.

இலங்கை நிர்வாக சேவையின் தரம் IIIஇல் காணப்படும் 40 வெற்றிடங்களை மட்டுப்படுத்தப்பட்ட அடிப்படையில் நிரப்புவதற்காகத் தகுதியுடைய அலுவலர்களிடமிருந்து இணையவழி விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்படுகின்றன.
- வெற்றிடங்கள்: 40
- பரீட்சைக் கட்டணம்: ரூ. 1,200
- விண்ணப்ப முறை: இணையவழியில் மாத்திரம்
- விண்ணப்பம் ஆரம்பம்: 31.08.2026 காலை 9.00 மணி
- முடிவுத் திகதி: 30.09.2026 இரவு 9.00 மணி
- வயதெல்லை: 53 வயதிற்கு மேற்படாதவராக இருக்க வேண்டும். 28.08.1973 அல்லது அதன் பின்னர் பிறந்தவர்கள் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.
- அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட பட்டத்துடன் தகுதியான சேவையில் குறைந்தது 5 வருட செயற்றிறனுள்ள திருப்திகரமான சேவை அல்லது வர்த்தமானியில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட மாற்று வழியின் கீழ் குறைந்தது 10 வருட தகுதியான சேவை தேவை.
- விண்ணப்பம் ஆங்கில மொழியில் மாத்திரம் பூர்த்தி செய்யப்பட வேண்டும்.
- முழுமையான தகைமைகள் மற்றும் நிபந்தனைகளுக்கு உத்தியோகபூர்வ வர்த்தமானி அறிவித்தலைக் கட்டாயம் வாசிக்கவும்.
