📢 Recruitment Notice

The Public Service Commission has invited applications from suitably qualified officers for appointment to the post of Valuer of Grade III Class I of the Sri Lanka Valuation Service, based on service experience and competency.

Applications are invited to fill 22 existing vacancies in the relevant grade, subject to the eligibility requirements and recruitment procedure specified in the official notice.

🎓 Required Qualifications

Applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

1. Be an Assistant Valuer of Grade I Class II of the Sri Lanka Valuation Service.
2. Have passed the Efficiency Bar Examination of Grade I Class II related to Office Based / Field Officer Category II.
3. Meet the disciplinary eligibility requirement relating to Public Service Commission Circular No. 01/2020 and its amendments, as specified in the notice.

📋 Method of Selection

Eligible applicants will be called for an Eligibility Assessment Interview. Selection is based on the approved marking scheme, service experience, competency and interview assessment.

• Candidates may be selected on the basis of merit marks and an Eligibility Assessment Interview conducted by a panel appointed by the Public Service Commission.
• Applicants up to twice the number of vacancies may be invited for assessment according to seniority.
• Appointment numbers and effective appointment dates will be determined by the Public Service Commission.

Selection Marking Scheme

Seniority – 60 Marks

• Active and satisfactory period of service in Grade II Class III up to the relevant promotion date – 25 marks.
• Active and satisfactory service from the date of promotion to Grade I Class III up to the application closing date – 35 marks.

Competency – 30 Marks

• Additional educational qualifications in a relevant field – 12 marks.
• Vocational / professional qualifications – 8 marks.
• Vocational performance appraisal – 10 marks.

Recognized qualifications include the specified postgraduate degree/diploma in Real Estate Management and Valuation, relevant professional institute memberships, and approved relevant courses. The detailed conditions, marks and limitations are provided in the original notice.

Performance appraisal marks are allocated according to the prescribed assessment levels for the preceding five years.

The applicable salary scale is stated in Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025 dated 25 March 2025:

📌 Terms and Conditions

• The appointment is permanent and pensionable, subject to the applicable pension scheme contributions.
• A probationary period of one year applies.
• Applicable official language proficiency requirements must be fulfilled.
• The appointment is governed by the Public Service Commission rules, Establishments Code, departmental orders and other applicable government regulations.
• Age limit: Not applicable.

📝 How to Apply

1. Complete the prescribed application format attached to the Gazette notice.
2. Ensure that all required personal, service, educational and professional details are correct.
3. Submit the completed application through the Head of Department.
4. The Head of Department must forward applications by registered post so that they are received on or before 19 October 2026.
