Investigator - Driven Grants


Applications are invited from researchers in public scientific R&D organizations / universities for the funding of innovative, investigator-driven and peer-evaluated research projects in all areas of Science and Technology.

Priority will be given for applications addressing the national interests and having a direct impact on the national economy under the following fields:

1. Medical Sciences

2. Agriculture

3. Physical / Engineering Sciences and Technologies

4. Chemical Sciences

5. Environmental Sciences

6. Others (proposals on other nationally relevant areas can also be submitted with justification)

The grants should be highly competitive and the proposal contents will be strictly evaluated. The maximum amount of funds offered for any grant will be LKR 3.0 million.

To apply, the principal investigator must submit the duly perfected application along with the seal and signature of the institutional head or Vice-Chancellor, in the form of one hardcopy and exact scanned copy (soft copy) of the same.

Deadline for submission : 14th July 2025

SENIOR LECTURER

LECTURER PROBATIONARY

A Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of specialization with a First Class from a recognized university. A Master's Degree or at least one year of teaching experience at the undergraduate level in a recognized university or higher educational institute.

TEMPORARY LECTURER 
A Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of specialization with a First Class from a recognized university.

TEACHING ASSISTANT/DEMONSTRATOR

We are also looking for fresh graduates who have a Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of specialization with a First Class from a recognized university.
