Requirements

Applicants should be 18 years old or over on the closing date of application, .

Students who have been awarded the Diploma in Early Childhood and Primary Education by the Open University of Sri Lanka,

Awarded National Diploma in Teaching (Primary Education) offered by the National College of Education.

Students who have completed the Diploma Programme (Open University of Sri Lanka/National College of Education) must follow Level 5 and Level 6 in the same language.

Online Booking - Toursit Bungalows & Holiday Resorts

In line with further advancing the current government’s digital governance policy, an event to introduce an online reservation facility for tourist bungalows and holiday resorts under the Ministry of Public Administration was held yesterday (29) at the Ministry Auditorium. The event was held under the patronage of the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Professor Chandana Abeyratne.

Holiday Resorts

Government charges will be applicable to 04 rooms only.
The applicant must be personally present at the property.
The application is non-transferable and cannot be assigned to any other person under any circumstances. Only the individuals specified in the application are permitted to enter the premises.
To obtain services, applicants must produce the completed application form together with their National Identity Card/Employment Identity Card and the original payment receipt issued by the Bank or the Head Office.
The number of guests shall not exceed the maximum occupancy permitted for each room or bungalow.
Rooms and all items provided (including bed linen, sheets, towels, pillowcases, etc.) must be maintained in a clean and proper condition.
No damage may be caused to the internal or external premises of the property. In the event of any damage caused by guests, the cost of repair or replacement will be recovered from the applicant.
Guest conduct must not cause inconvenience, disturbance, or discomfort to other guests.
Holding ceremonies, parties, or any other functions at the Holiday Bungalow is strictly prohibited.
Smoking and the consumption of liquor are not permitted on the premises.
Charges for common utilities (such as electricity and blankets) must be paid directly to the Caretaker of the Holiday Bungalow/Circuit Bungalow, and a Form General 172 must be obtained as proof of payment.
Payments made for reservations are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. However, reservations may be rescheduled within three (03) months from the original reservation date.
Reservations may be cancelled for official purposes of the Ministry under unavoidable circumstances. In such cases, the applicant will be refunded the full amount paid.

Circular - Commencement of work 2026

Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government has released the circular on Commencement of Work, Year – 2026

The official ceremony to mark the commencement of duties at service stations should be held with the participation of all the public servants on Thursday, 01st January 2026, the first working day of the year 2026.

Since the entire public service must be fully committed to provide an efficient and effective service to the public with firm determination, action should be taken to conduct the following programmes on that day at all public institutions and offices at the national, provincial, district and divisional levels.

The below-mentioned programme should be adapted for this purpose.

Hoisting the National Flag and singing the National Anthem.
Observing two minutes silence to commemorate the members of the Tri - Forces and others who sacrificed their lives on behalf of the motherland.
Reading aloud the Oath/Affirmation of Public Servants (attached herewith) in any language convenient for the members of the staff being at their work places.
Delivering a short speech on the government policies and the programme introduced to overcome the present challenges and the contribution of the public servant in achieving the said objectives in order to motivate them

SLTES - Open Interview Updates

ANNOUNCEMENT Open Recruitment to the Sri Lanka Teacher Educator Service Grade III 2019(2020)

Calling letters stating the dates and times of the aptitude test interview and practical test have already been forwarded to the addresses mentioned in the applications by the applicants by now according to the list of candidates who have been qualified under the General Interview for each subject for the Sri Lanka Teacher Educator Service Grade III Open Recruitment 2019(2020) published on the Ministerial website on 27.10.2025.

It is noted that you should be arrived for the Boards of Interview after being prepared all the documents as per the instructions mentioned in the calling letter on the dates and times mentioned in the calling letter. (It is mandatory to arrive on the appointed date and scheduled time.) On that date, a file containing the original copies of all the documents mentioned under Heading 3 of the calling letter and a separate file containing the certified photocopies of the said documents should also be submitted to the Board of Interview, by mentioning the Interview Number and Board Number given above.

All photocopies of the certificates/documents should be certified as true copies thereon.
