Enrollment reopens of the Bachelor of Arts in English (General) External Degree course offered by the External Degrees and Extension Courses Unit of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura for a limited time period (until 16thJuly 2018). Those who could not apply in first instance can apply.
Qualifications
- Three passes in G.C.E. A/LFour passes in G.C.E. A/L (if offered before 2000)Government trained English teacher with a minimum of 02 years of teaching experience
- International school English teacher with a minimum of 02 years of teaching experience. (Letter of principal of school should be submitted with the application)
- English teacher in a private school with a minimum of 02 years of teaching experience. (Letter of principal of school should be submitted with the application)
- HNDE offered by the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education
Selection for Enrollment for the Bachelor of Arts in English (General) External Degree Program:
- Limited number of students will be selected to offer the above degree program based on their performance at the selection test conducted by the department of English and Linguistics.
- Duration of selection test will be 02 hours
- Selection test is scheduled to be held on 22nd July 2018
Procedure for Sending in Applications:
- It is essential that the applicants deposit the due amount of money at the bank and retrieve a receipt for the payment, prior to the completion of the application according to the instructions given below.
- An amount of Rs. 1300/- should be paid to the account of the External Degrees and Extension Courses Unit of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura at the People’s Bank Gangodawila branch through any People’s Bank branch. The receipt should be attached with the application. It is essential that the payment should be made to the correct account number (Candidates are advised to keep a photocopy of the receipt with themselves).
- Duly completed application form should be submitted online using below provided link
- A copy of the application should be downloaded and handed over to the External Degrees and Extension Courses Unit on or before 16.07.2018. A certified copy of the birth certificate, certified copies of certificates related to educational qualifications and a certified copy of the NIC should be attached with application.

Instructions to Candidates
- The application fee of Rs. 1300/- is non-refundable.
- Delayed and incomplete applications will be rejected. Application should be handed over to the External Degrees and Extension Courses Unit on or before 16th July 2018
