Recent investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department have observed a rapid increase in the number of Sri Lankan citizens becoming victims of crimes committed using Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype, and We chat. Criminals use two main methods to commit these types of fraud.
