Call for Expression of Interest
Available Positions
The National Institute of Education invites Expressions of Interest from qualified, experienced and dynamic professionals, academics and practitioners who are interested in serving at the NIE on an attachment or secondment basis.
Eligible Applicant Categories
- Academic and research-level experienced officers
- Special degree holders
- Graduate teachers or officers with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education
- Associate members of recognized professional chartered institutions
- Officers with NVQ Level 5 qualifications in relevant subject areas
Qualifications
Senior Lecturer
- A relevant UGC-recognized special degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, relevant postgraduate degree in Education and at least eight years of academic and research-level experience after obtaining the first degree; or
- A relevant UGC-recognized special degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, relevant PhD and at least five years of academic and research-level experience after obtaining the first degree.
Lecturer
- A relevant special degree recognized by the UGC; or
- A relevant general degree recognized by the UGC with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education; or
- Associate membership of a recognized professional or chartered institution relevant to the position.
Technical Assistant
- NVQ Level 5 qualification in a relevant field.

Subject areas include Languages, Primary Education, Religions, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Commerce, ICT, Research, Teacher Education, Inclusive Education, Guidance and Counselling, Library Science, Educational Management and other related fields. Terms and Conditions
- Applications must be forwarded through the respective Head of the organization.
- The applicant’s monthly salary and other allowances must be paid by their permanent workplace.
- The respective Head of the organization must provide written consent to release the applicant to the NIE.
- Applicants will be evaluated according to the approved NIE Scheme of Recruitment.
