About the Institute
The National Transport Medical Institute is an institution established by the National Transport Medical Institute Act No. 25 of 1997 and functions under the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development.
Applications are invited from Sri Lankan citizens to fill the following vacancies on permanent basis.
01. Medical Laboratory Technologist - MA 4
Vacancies: 01
Qualifications:
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) recognized by the University Grants Commission and registered at the Sri Lanka Medical Council as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
- OR Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from an institute recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council and registered at the Sri Lanka Medical Council as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
Age: 22 – 45 years. Internal applicants are not affected by the upper age limit.
Salary Scale: MA 4 - 2025: Rs. 64,320 – 10×1,360 – 15×1,670 – 5×2,040 – 113,170

02. Management Assistant (Non-technical) - MA 1-1

External Qualifications:
- Passed six subjects at G.C.E. O/L with four credit passes including Sinhala/Tamil and Mathematics in one sitting.
- Passed at least three subjects at G.C.E. A/L except General Aptitude Test.
- Having followed a recognized Computer Course.
Internal Applicants: Primary Grade employees who fulfil required educational qualifications, hold a permanent confirmed post and have completed at least 05 years continuous satisfactory service may apply.
Age: 18 – 45 years. Internal applicants are not affected by the upper age limit.

Internal Applicants: PL-1 employees with minimum 05 years relevant experience and trade test skills not below NVQ Level 2, or NVQ Level 2 certificate, or O/L six subjects with three credits.
Age: 18 – 45 years. Upper age limit will not apply to internal candidates.

Internal Applicants:
- Fulfill external qualifications OR
- Minimum 05 years satisfactory service in Junior Management (JM) category in relevant field
Age: 22 – 45 years (Upper age limit not applicable for internal candidates)

- Applicant should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
