Appointment Details

The Judicial Service Commission invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for appointment as members of the panel required to establish Agrarian Boards of Review.

A panel consisting of not more than nine persons will be appointed from among persons with broad knowledge and experience in law and agrarian services.

Maximum Members Up to 9 persons

Period of Appointment Three years

Maximum Age Not more than 70 years

Eligible Applicants Citizens of Sri Lanka

Who Can Apply?

Applicants should be physically fit, possess excellent moral character and be not more than 70 years of age.

1. Retired Judges
2. Attorneys-at-Law with more than 10 years of professional experience.
3. Persons with at least 10 years of executive-level experience in the field of agriculture who are currently engaged, or have previously been engaged, in work connected with Agrarian Service Law.

Legal Basis

The panel will be appointed for the establishment of Boards of Review under Section 42A(1) of the Agrarian Development Act No. 46 of 2000, as amended by the Agrarian Development Act No. 46 of 2011.

Allowances

The allowances paid to a panel member in 2023 were stated as follows:

Monthly Allowance Rs. 50,000

Travelling Allowance Rs. 10,000 per month

These are the allowance amounts stated in the official notice with reference to the year 2023.

Application Closing Date 10 September 2026 Applications must reach the Judicial Service Commission Secretariat on or before this date.

விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் இலங்கைப் பிரஜைகளாகவும், சிறந்த நன்னடத்தை மற்றும் தேக ஆரோக்கியம் உடையவர்களாகவும், 70 வயதுக்கு மேற்படாதவர்களாகவும் இருத்தல் வேண்டும்.
