📢 SLTB Contract Recruitment 2026
The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for a large number of Driver and Conductor vacancies on a contract basis.
Vacancies are available at depots belonging to all regions of the Sri Lanka Transport Board. Priority will be given to applicants from the respective local areas.

Applications are invited for depots belonging to the following SLTB regions:
🚍 01. Driver – Contract Basis
Educational & Other Qualifications
- G.C.E. (O/L) – Pass in 6 subjects with 2 Credit Passes, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Age should be between 21 and 45 years.
- Should possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence for more than 3 years.
- Minimum weight: 45 kg.
- Minimum height: 5 feet 3 inches.
- Should be in good health.
- Experience as a Heavy Passenger Vehicle Driver from a recognized institution will be considered an added advantage.
🎫 02. Conductor – Contract Basis
Educational & Other Qualifications
- G.C.E. (O/L) – Pass in 6 subjects including Mathematics and Mother Tongue with 2 Credit Passes, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Age should be between 18 and 45 years.
- Minimum weight: 41 kg.
- Minimum height: 5 feet.
- Should be in good health.
💼 General Conditions & Benefits
- Employee contribution to EPF – 8% and employer contribution 12%.
- Employer contribution to ETF – 3%.
- Cost of Living Allowance of Rs. 17,800/-, overtime and incentive allowances will be paid in addition to the basic contract allowance.
- Duty assignments will be made on a roster basis.
- Recruitment will be based on an interview, practical test and results of the training programme according to Sri Lanka Transport Board procedures.
- Transfers will not be entertained after appointment.
- A travel pass will be issued for travelling within 30 km to and from the workplace.

අයදුම්පත් ප්රධාන විධායක නිලධාරී, ශ්රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලය, අංක 200, කිරුළ පාර, නාරාහේන්පිට, කොළඹ 05 වෙත යොමු කළ යුතුය.

நடத்துனர் பதவிக்கு வயது 18 முதல் 45 வரை இருக்க வேண்டும்.
