Vacancy Details - English
The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) invites applications for the following posts. These are permanent positions with contributions to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' Trust Fund (ETF). A 20% allowance based on the basic salary and a cost-of-living allowance will also be provided.
1. Legal Officer - Grade II
Locations: Head Office and Regional/Sub-Offices in Anuradhapura, Ampara, Hatton, Mannar, Ratnapura and Kilinochchi.
External qualification:
- A UGC-recognized degree in Law or Attorney-at-Law; and
- At least one year of relevant post-qualification experience after obtaining the first degree.
Internal qualification: The above external qualifications, or five years of satisfactory service in a relevant Junior Manager (JM) post.
Salary: MM 1-1-2025 - Rs. 91,690-168,240

External qualification (one):
- A UGC-recognized degree in Social Science or a field relevant to the post; or
- Intermediate Examination of a recognized professional Chartered Institute in a relevant subject area.
Internal qualification: The external qualifications, or five years of satisfactory relevant service in the specified MA categories.
Salary: JM 1-1-2025 - Rs. 72,650-122,970

Qualification: A bachelor's degree in Law, Social Sciences, Conflict Resolution, International Relations or a related area with appropriate subject combinations from a UGC-recognized university, together with a postgraduate diploma in the relevant field.
Salary: MA 5-1-2025 - Rs. 58,740-109,410

External qualification (one): A UGC-recognized/relevant degree, or the Intermediate Examination of a recognized professional Chartered Institute in a relevant subject - with at least one year of relevant professional experience.
Internal qualification: The external qualifications, or eight years of satisfactory relevant service in MA 1-1 or above.
Salary: MA 4-2025 - Rs. 64,320-111,160

Qualification: A subject-relevant proficiency certificate of at least NVQ Level 5, issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.

External qualification: Passed six G.C.E. O/L subjects with at least two credit passes in no more than two sittings; a licence to drive heavy vehicles; and at least three years of driving experience after obtaining the licence.
Internal qualification: Heavy-vehicle licence with three years' experience and five years of satisfactory service in PL2 or PL1.
Salary: PL 3-2025 - Rs. 43,280-67,040

- Applicants should be Sri Lankan citizens, physically and mentally fit, able to serve anywhere in the island, and of excellent moral character.

- Officer/technical posts are selected through a structured interview as stated in the relevant notice.
