Part-Time Assignment Basis
Vacancy Overview
The Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Legal Officer on a part-time assignment basis. The selected officer will provide legal assistance to the Head of the Legal Unit of the SLMC.
Required Qualifications
- Must have been sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law (AAL) in the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
- A recognized Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or other postgraduate qualifications will be considered added qualifications.
Required Experience
- At least three years of active professional and prosecutorial experience after being sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law; or
- At least three years of experience in a legal post involving prosecutions in a state institution after being sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law.
Employment Terms
- Appointment: Part-time assignment for one year.
- May be extended for a further year with Council approval.
- Work schedule: Two days per week, up to eight days per month.
- Salary and other emoluments will be determined by the SLMC.
- Age: Must not be over 60 years on the closing date.
Main Duties
- Conduct disciplinary prosecutions, including evidence, cross-examination, re-examination and closing submissions.
- Assist with legal and legislative matters connected with the SLMC.
- Handle RTI applications and complaints received by the Council.
- Attend to assigned correspondence and other legal duties.

இலங்கை மருத்துவ சபையானது பகுதிநேர ஒப்பந்த அடிப்படையிலான சட்ட உத்தியோகத்தர் பதவிக்கு தகுதியுடைய இலங்கைப் பிரஜைகளிடமிருந்து விண்ணப்பங்களைக் கோருகிறது. விண்ணப்பதாரர் உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் சட்டத்தரணியாக சத்தியப்பிரமாணம் செய்திருப்பதுடன், தொடர்புடைய துறையில் குறைந்தது 3 வருட அனுபவத்தைக் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும். முடிவுத் திகதியில் வயது 60 வருடங்களுக்கு மேற்படாதவராக இருத்தல் வேண்டும். விண்ணப்ப முடிவுத் திகதி 21 செப்டெம்பர் 2026 ஆகும்.
