📢 About the Recruitment

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for 55 vacancies in the post of Management Assistant – Grade III.

This is an open recruitment under Section 26(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act, No. 9 of 2023.

🎓 Educational Qualifications

1. G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L)

Applicants must have passed six subjects with at least four Credit passes, including:

• Sinhala or Tamil Language
• English Language
• Mathematics

The required results must have been obtained in not more than two sittings.

2. G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L)

Applicants must have passed all subjects (excluding the Common General Test) in one sitting.

For candidates under the old syllabus, passing three subjects in one sitting is sufficient.

Important: Both the required O/L and A/L qualifications are compulsory. Additional professional qualifications and previous employment experience are not mandatory.

✅ General Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Must be between 21 and 35 years of age.
• Must have excellent moral character.
• Must be physically and mentally fit to serve anywhere in Sri Lanka.
• Must possess all prescribed qualifications by the date specified in the official notification.

💰 Salary and Allowances

Starting Basic Salary

Rs. 46,220 per month

Salary Code: AC-MA-1-1-2025

Salary Scale:

Rs. 46,220 – 10×540 – 7×630 – 4×890 – 20×1,190 – Rs. 83,390

Other allowances approved by Parliament on 17 March 2026 are paid in addition, as provided under Extraordinary Gazette No. 2504/07 dated 01 September 2026.

📝 Selection Procedure

Recruitment will take place through three stages.

Stage 01

Written Competitive Examination

Candidates must sit both examination papers and obtain at least 40 marks in each paper.

Stage 02

Structured Interview

Candidates must obtain at least 60 marks out of 100 at the interview.

Stage 03

Final Selection

Candidates are selected based on the highest combined marks from the written examination and structured interview, in order of merit.

Important: Applicants must choose only one language medium. The selected examination medium will also become the recruitment medium and cannot be changed after submission.

📚 Examination Syllabus

Paper 01 – Language Proficiency

The paper evaluates the candidate's ability in:

• Language expression and comprehension
• Correct spelling and language usage
• Composition and written communication
• Summarizing information
• Preparation of tables and graphs

Paper 02 – Aptitude

This paper assesses logical reasoning, analytical thinking and the ability to understand and solve reasoning problems.

Candidates who complete both papers and obtain the minimum required marks will be considered for the interview stage. The number called for interview will be twice the number of vacancies.

Written examination marks will not be disclosed to the interview board. The Commission will approve the detailed marking scheme.

🏢 Terms and Conditions of Service

• The appointment is permanent.
• Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' Trust Fund (ETF) benefits apply.
• A probationary period of three years applies.
• Appointees must pass the prescribed Efficiency Bar Examination within three years.
• Confirmation depends on satisfactory service, attendance, conduct and passing the Efficiency Bar Examination.
• Salary increments and promotions depend on performance assessments and applicable rules.
• Required official-language proficiency must be obtained within the prescribed period, where applicable.
• Appointments are subject to the Anti-Corruption Act and applicable Commission rules and regulations.

க.பொ.த. சாதாரண தரம்: இரண்டு அமர்வுகளுக்கு மேற்படாமல் ஆறு பாடங்களில் சித்தியடைந்திருத்தல் வேண்டும். தமிழ்/சிங்கள மொழி, ஆங்கில மொழி மற்றும் கணிதம் உட்பட குறைந்தது நான்கு பாடங்களில் திறமைச் சித்திகள் பெற்றிருத்தல் வேண்டும்.

க.பொ.த. உயர்தரம்: பொதுச் சாதாரண பரீட்சையைத் தவிர்த்து, அனைத்து பாடங்களிலும் ஒரே அமர்வில் சித்தியடைந்திருத்தல் வேண்டும். பழைய பாடத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ், ஒரே அமர்வில் மூன்று பாடங்களில் சித்தியடைந்திருத்தல் போதுமானது.

• நேர்முகப் பரீட்சையில் குறைந்தது 60/100 புள்ளிகள் தேவை.
