The Annual Transfers of the Sri Lanka Teacher Educator Service for the year 2026 have been approved to take effect from 01 July 2026.

Officers who have received transfers should be released from their institutions to assume duties at their new workstations on the specified date.

Important Notice

Transfers are implemented according to Ministry of Education Circular No. 35/2025 dated 20.11.2025.
Officers who served more than 08 years at one workstation may be transferred according to the transfer policy.
Appeals should be submitted only according to Section 256 of Chapter XVIII of the Public Service Commission Procedural Rules.
Appeals received after 19 June 2026 will not be considered.

LETTER TO HEADS OF INSTITUTIONS ON NON-ACADEMIC TRANSFERS 2026

Ministry of Education has issued a special notification regarding the implementation of 2026 annual transfers for non-educational staff.

📌 Applicable Institutions

Principals of National Schools
Presidents of National Colleges of Education
Principals of Teachers' Colleges
Managers of Teacher Centers

📢 Key Instructions

Release all transferred non-educational staff immediately.
Allow released officers to report to new workplaces.
Failure to comply will be considered an improper act.
Action will be taken under the Public Service Commission procedural rules.

📊 Reporting Requirement

Enter details of officers who reported / not reported.
Use Google Forms provided for each zone.
Submit certified Annex 01 document.
Deadline: 18.05.2026
