📢 Additional Director General – Open Recruitment 2026

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) invites applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for recruitment to the post of Additional Director General on an open basis.

This recruitment is conducted under Section 26(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act, No. 9 of 2023.

🎓 Required Qualifications

1. Educational Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Postgraduate Degree in Law from a university or degree-awarding institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

2. Professional Qualifications

Applicants must be Attorneys-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

3. Professional Experience

Applicants must have at least 15 years of active professional experience in criminal litigation after being sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

4. Age Limit

• Minimum age: 40 years
• Maximum age: 54 years

5. Other Requirements

• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Must possess excellent moral character.
• Must be physically and mentally fit to serve anywhere in Sri Lanka.
• All required qualifications must be fulfilled by the closing date.

💰 Salary and Benefits

Salary Scale: Rs. 212,000 – 10 × Rs. 4,950 – Rs. 261,500

Salary Code: AC-E 4-2025

Other approved allowances are applicable.

Important: For officers recruited before 01 January 2027, the applicable salary under Schedule II is Rs. 183,300, according to the detailed official notification.

The appointment is permanent, with EPF and ETF benefits, and is subject to a three-year probationary period.

📝 Selection Procedure

Recruitment will be based on a structured interview.

• Additional educational qualifications – 20 marks
• Additional service experience – 10 marks
• English language proficiency – 10 marks
• Recommendations for judicial activities – 30 marks
• Interview performance – 30 marks

Total: 100 marks

Minimum required: 60 marks

The highest-scoring qualified candidate will be selected.
